Eddie stills has a great job and I have been busy with my scrapbook business. I have been blessed to still stay home and have flexible hours and be my "own" boss!

We have a wonderful family who brings so much joy to our lives each and everyday. Our grandchildren are growing up too fast. Rebecca is now 10 (double-digits), Dylan is 6, Caleb is almost 3, and Austin is approaching 2! They are our pride and joy!

We pray that you will have a VERY Happy New Year and that you will be blessed beyond meaure in 2010. May God bless you with every good and perfect gift from above!

So much to be thankful for...

It is hard to believe but this year almost over...however, we are in the season of the year that I LOVE the most. The Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays are my favorite time of the year. I love the sights and sounds BUT most of all it is a continuous reminder why we celebrate this time of the year.

God sent His ONE and ONLY Son, Jesus Christ, to be our Lord and Savoir. Without him, then this would just another holiday. Jesus is the reason we celebrate!

We have so much to be thankful this year...Jesus the One and Only, family, friends, loving church,health, prosperity, and so much more.

I am very thankful for a GREAT 2009!

Summer FUN

We have had a BUSY summer! We had the grandkids for a week and had a BLAST! Went to the waterpark a couple of times and relaxed around the house...UNTIL Rebecca came down with strep throat...she was one sick little girl. :(

Austin never ceases to amazing me of all the cute things he is learning. He is picking up all kinds of words...his favorite now is "NO-NO"...and he has learn to do "sweet eyes"...just melts my hearts. He is a very active little boy and loves to run and play. We have alot of special moments everyday.

It is hard to believe BUT Dylan will be entering kindergarten in August...where does the time go. AND Rebecca will be going into 4th grade...WOW! They are growing TOO fast.

Caleb has such a vocabulary for a 2 year old and actually knows how to use the words! He is such a precious little man.

We love our grandkids and always wish the best for them. God has truly blessed us with a GREAT family!

Another Great Mother's Day Celebration

We had another great Mother's Day celebration at Tonya's house. We had a delicious FISH FRY! yummmmy :) Steve cooked up some french fried potatoes, catfish, hushpuppies, fried okra, and corn fritters. It was ALL so good! I am definitely going to have to go on a diet after TWO great Mother's Day meals.

I have such a wonderful family. We always have a great time together. Thank you God for all that you have done for us!

Mother's Day 2009

We had a great Mother's Day at Amy's house. She fixed a HUGE meal. To start off we had homemade Tomato Basil Soup, Tortillini Ceasar Salad...then we had Pastry Puff stuffed with herbed-seasoned chicken, Scalloped Potatoes, Squash Casserole...and then to top it all off we had a delicous Chocolate Turtle Ice Cream dessert...IT WAS ALL SO GOOD! What a GREAT meal.

I grateful to such a wonderful Mom and two precious daughters who are wonderful Mom's as well. May God continue richly bless you and your families.

Wonderful Week at Frio!

What an awesome week...very relaxing and refreshing. My favorite part of the week was just sitting by the river and listening to the water flow over the rocks. Just love God's creation. Eddie had fun fishing and yes he did catch some pretty nice fish. I also enjoyed just sitting and reading several Christian fiction books, walking down the river, sitting by the river, enjoying the evening campfires. But most of all, just reflecting and listening to God speak...so many times we get so distracted from the busyness of life that it often times drowns out God's voice. I love the way God speaks through the simpleness of life. I am so thankful for the time that we had to just get away...it was definitely a much needed time.

We are spending the weekend in Houston at Amy's house...she is preparing a full course Mother's Day meal for us. I know that it will be delicious! :)

Be thankful for your mother for ALL that she has done for you. So much goes into being a Mother but the rewards are also great.

FRIO RIVER

Eddie and I are at Frio River area for a week of R & R! We absolutely love this area. We stay at River Bluff cabins (www.riverbluffcabins.com ) We stay in the log cabins. This is our 5th trip here in the last 3 years. It is such a beautiful part of Texas! Eddie enjoys fishing down by the river and I enjoy just sitting and relaxing...of course, I do bring my scrapbooking! :) Can't live home without it.

We enjoy the drive over to Lost Maples...it is a beautiful drive through the mountains of Texas. Then we enjoy hiking in the mountains of Texas at Lost Maples. The hike is about a 4 mile trek and of course the 1st time we hiked it...I came across a huge snake...YIKES! It never fails I will always find a snake...OR a snake finds me.

We have also enjoyed tubing down the Frio...and yes, the water is cold...even in the summer time! BUT oh so refreshing! Of course, tubing depends on their rainfall and the last couple of times the river has been low.

We are so thankful for the beautiful creation that God has allowed us to enjoy.

Wonderful Weekend

I had a great time in Houston this weekend...spending time with the grandkids! It was SO sweet when I got there Thursday evening...Caleb was outside playing and when he saw my car...he starting waving and saying "hi, nana...hi, nana"...I just loved it! :) There is nothing in this world more precious than our 4 beautiful grandchildren...we absolutely adore them. They are our pride and joy!

Friday night we "stuffed" ourselves at Johnny Carino's with great Italian food. We got home just in time for the BIG down pour.

Saturday Rebecca had an Upwards softball game. She did a great job! All of the teams played really hard.

Before heading home, we played the game RACKO...I had alot of fun but never could win...Rebecca seem to win all the games...hmmmmm!

It was so funny a butterfly landed on Austin's shirt and he didn't even know it! He just kept walking around and I was chasing him trying to capture a picture...it took me several tries but I finally got it before the butterfly flew off.

Shangri La Butterfly Release

We had a great time today at the Shangri La Butterfly release...about 350 butterflies were handed out to the visitors in an envelope. At a certain time, we all opened our envelopes to release the butterflies...it was quite interesting!

We enjoyed lunch at the sandwich shop and then took a stroll through the gardens. It is was such a lovely day!

WOW! what a weekend. I had a great time in Houston with Amy and her friends scrapbooking and facilitating scrapbook workshops! We had a very productive weekend. Lots of FUN, fellowship, and food...I think I gained 10 more pounds...not good! :(

Today Eddie and I are celebrating our 24th anniversary. We had have 24th wonderful years together and look forward to our "Silver" anniversary in 2010. Our plans are to take a Eastern Carribean trip. Can't wait. We are so thankful for ALL God has blessed us with the last 24 years together. What blessing to have a wonderful husband and family!
